Charyl (she/her) is an Ohio native and has lived in Cincinnati since college. She has 21 years of non-profit leadership experience and has been a part of CAIN since 2013.

Aileen Lawson
Market Manager
Aileen (she/her) has been a Cincinnati resident for 10 years since attending the University of Cincinnati, and has been working with CAIN since early 2021. She combines her backgrounds in urban planning and food & beverage service to create a welcoming, compassionate environment for all guests of our Market. She takes pride in her ability to collaborate with partners and constantly innovate our operations to meet community needs.

Laci Gray
Community Hub Coordinator
Laci (she/her) moved to Cincinnati in 2022 and started volunteering at CAIN shortly after, being hired as the full time Program Coordinator in 2023. With a background in community psychology, Laci appreciates being able to grow this perspective by working with guests in the Market and doing advocacy work with the Poverty Liberation Collective.

Rachel Stone
Volunteer Coordinator
Rachel (she/her) is a Cincinnati native with nearly 30 years of nonprofit work experience. As a graduate of Mount St Joseph University and the University of Cincinnati, Rachel chose to study Sociology to better understand marginalized communities and inequalities within systems. With a background in administration and staff management, she enjoys utilizing her learned skills to work closely with the volunteers at CAIN.
Meghan Smith
Development & Communications Manager
Meghan (She/Her) is a Northside resident and former CAIN volunteer turned staff. With a degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Miami University, Meghan helps share the stories that highlight CAIN’s impact and strength of the Northside community through donor engagement, grants, and storytelling.

Luis Baretto
Market Aide
Luis (he/him) has been living in Cincinnati for more than 8 years teaching Spanish at the UC. His experience includes working with impoverished and marginalized communities. Luis carried out projects related to applied arts, creative writing, and community libraries.
