Annette’s Café Community Meal

Every Monday at 3:30 pm, CAIN volunteers serve a meal with the option to either sit down to eat and watch a movie, play games, or enjoy the camaraderie, or take the meal to-go. Each week a different group sponsors the meal, so you’ll see something different every week! Meals are first-come first-served, and limited in quantity. No paperwork, documents or registration needed – just show up!

Snack Packs

During pantry, anyone experiencing homelessness may request a ‘snack pack’. A snack pack is a bag of food meant to provide a quick breakfast or lunch plus a little extra until their next meal. They usually include shelf-stable, no-cook, individually-sized items like chips, cookies, a sandwich, drinks and more.

The Free Fridge

The Free Fridge is a collaborative project with Third Way Peace Fellowship, located on CAIN’s property. The Free Fridge offers 24/7 access to free food donated by the community to be access at any time of need. The fridge can be found on the southern side of Annette’s House (4234 Hamilton Ave), eqipped with a combination refrigerator/freezer, microwave, hot and cold water tap, and a small pantry. If you would like to make a donation please be sure all items are marked with a date and major allergens.

CAIN sponsors monthly Senior Food Boxes for senior livings centers in Northside and nearby neighborhoods. If you work at a senior living center and are interested in getting food boxes for your residents, reach out to Stephenie Hart at the Freestore Foodbank at SHart@FreestoreFoodbank.org.
